17th - 17th June 2017
12 Perry Road Bristol BS1 5BG
The demonstration will be a wonderful oppurtunity to enjoy low-tech printing by hand in an informal atmosphere as well as enjoying some tasty nibbles and refreshments!
Ruth will be showing her mono-printing technique which involves rolling oil paint onto a flat surface, adding texture and interest, before taking a print by hand onto tissue or Japanese paper. The print can then be made as complex as you wish through adding layers and masking areas out, or adding detail with stamps, small collographs and drawing.
This is a great way to dive into the world of printmaking and understand how she makes her atmospheric landscape and seascape images.
This event is open to the public so pop down for a day bursting with creativity and If you enjoy this then why not pop along to her exciting full day workshop on the 9th of July.
