This is part of a stunning winter series of paintings of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, which
successfully portray this iconic structure from a slightly different perspective.
“ I get asked to paint the suspension bridge all the time, but tend to avoid the iconic and
obvious views of any city. The Clifton Suspension Bridge has been painted, drawn and
represented many times and very well. What I’ve tried to do here, is find an angle or
perspective that is less obvious and hopefully more interesting” Tom White
