I’m always looking up; I photograph the sky obsessively – drawn to the colours, the ever-changing light, the shifting shapes and patterns. Whether it’s the drama of a storm or sunset, or the calm of a soft summer’s day, what is above us never fails to stop me in my tracks and inspires me to turn to canvas and paint.

I love working on a large scale in an attempt to capture that feeling of perspective those huge, moody skies bring. I paint in acrylic, building up thin layers of colours with big brushes and a little water. I tend to paint intuitively, letting each piece evolve – but the contrast of light and dark is a recurring theme in my work.

I’m fortunate to have my paintings held in private collections across the world. I also work to commission for private clients and designers and have exhibited across the UK in galleries and art fairs.
