Karen Davies

Karen is a contemporary oil painter with studios in Norwich and Spain. She is an avid traveller and creates studies in a range of media on location, working them up in the studio. She is noted for her passionate, expressive use of colour and deft brush work. Karen is trained in oil painting and print making, she later studied Art, Politics and Resistance with the University of Kent.

Prior to painting Karen worked in psychiatry, occupational psychometrics and human resources; devoting her working life to working with people, improving executive teams in public and private companies nationally and internationally. She communicates this deep perception and understanding of people and relationships to all her artworks whatever the subject. She is interested in the psychology of art; the interaction between the artist, the work and the viewer.
