Harriet studied film at Falmouth Art School, Cornwall where she lived for over a decade. Returning to Cornwall after a few years in London, Harriet started painting. She has been showing her work in Bristol and has recently finished showing her work in Florence where her work has a permanent residency. She is fairly irreverent in her attitude towards traditional approaches to her work and spontaneously draws on her fascination with marginal groups within society, such as the Romany Gypsies; preferring to focus on the romanticism, sense of tradition and pride rather than the harsh realities. She often studies the relationship between man and woman either in celebration or scepticism. Harriet lives and works in Wiltshire where she was born.
